Sahyadria denisonii (commonly known as the Denison Barb or Red Comet Barb) is one of the most stunning and dynamic schooling fish available in the aquarium hobby. Featuring a sleek, torpedo-shaped silver body accented by a striking black horizontal stripe and a brilliant red slash on its dorsal fin, this fish adds a vibrant splash of color to any large setup.

These active swimmers thrive in well-established, spacious aquariums with high water quality, strong current, and ample swimming space. As schooling fish, they must be kept in groups of at least 6–8 individuals to display their best colors and natural, peaceful behavior.
