Behavior and Care

The Green Neon Tetra is a strict schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 10–12 individuals. In larger schools, they display much better confidence, natural behavior, and striking coloration. The aquarium should feature dense planting, driftwood, and open swimming space. A dark substrate and floating plants to diffuse light will make their neon colors pop.

Feeding is simple: they readily accept high-quality micro flakes, nano pellets, and frozen foods such as baby brine shrimp, daphnia, and cyclops.
